Symbolism of Oshukai
Oshukai was created from combining three letters
into one graphic symbol. O SHU KAI means association of royal exercises. (O) - KING, (SHU) - EXERCISE and (KAI) - ASSOCIATION. The first letter is very important because it signifies the King of Okinawa who was living in Shuri where ShuriTe (Okinawa Shorin-Ryu) was created. It combines two tradiotional martial arts from Okinawa: Okinawa Shorin-Ryu Karate Do and Okianwa Kobudo.
