Symbolism of Oshukai
Oshukai was created from combining three letters 王修会 into one graphic symbol.
O SHU KAI means association of royal exercises:
王 (O) – KING
修 (SHU) – EXERCISE
会 (KAI) – ASSOCIATION
The first letter is very important because it signifies the King of Okinawa who was living in Shuri where ShuriTe (Okinawa Shorin-Ryu) was created. It combines two traditional martial arts from Okinawa: Okinawa Shorin-Ryu Karate Do and Okinawa Kobudo.

ワールド王修会のロゴワールド王修会のロゴマークです。「王」とは、小林流が首里手の流れを組んでいることと、唯一、一人者、覇道に対して王道の道を目指す意味が込められています。 「修」は人格をおさめ整えること、修養/修行/必修の意味があります。「会」は言うまでもなく、志を同じくする人達の集まりとの意味です。

The emblem is a symbol of our organization World Oshukai Okinawa Shorin-Ryu Karate Do Kobudo Federation.

In the white circle the diagonal turned first symbolizes traditional karate. In the red circle (that stands for the sunset) is presented the golden gate of Surei No Mon – the symbol of Okinawa. The blue background represents the sea that surrounds the island of Okinawa.

ワールド王修会 空手道のロゴマークです。 真ん中には守礼の道を目指す沖縄のシンボル「守礼門」を掲げ、背景の青色は沖縄を囲む綺麗な海を示しています。

Symbolism of Okinawa Kobudo emblem
The 18 golden petals of chrysanthemum stands for well-being. In the middle of golden background there is a black, three-armed cross that denotes the coat of arms of the Okinawa royal Sho dynasty. The cross symbolizes the unification of three kingdoms (Hozukan, Chuzan and Nanazan) into one.

18枚の菊の紋章は幸福をもたらすことを意味し、真ん中の三つ巴は、三つの王国(北山、中山、南山)が一つに統合されたことを示す琉球王国の紋章としても使われていました。
